AFRICA<\/strong> Albida Tourism\u2019s (AAT) flagship property Victoria Falls Safari Lodge has been voted the Best
\nResort Hotel for the 23rd year in a row by the Association of Zimbabwe Travel Agents (AZTA),
\nwith the hospitality group also receiving three other accolades at the same awards event.<\/p>\n

The annual awards, which reward airlines, lodges, agents and companies with a certificate for
\ntheir great service, as voted by the Zimbabwe travel industry, were hosted by AZTA Chair
\nIgnatius Matungamire at a safari-themed lunch at the Meikles Hotel in Harare last Saturday.
\n\"Travelstart<\/a><\/p>\n

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge took the Best Resort Hotel category ahead of Victoria Falls Hotel and Ilala Lodge, the first second and runner-ups respectively. <\/p>\n

.AAT\u2019s luxury property, Victoria Falls Safari Club, was named the Best Boutique Hotel for the sixth
\ntime, while Singita Pamushana Lodge in south eastern Zimbabwe and Highlands House inHarare took second and third places respectively.<\/p>\n

Lokuthula Lodges won the Best Self-Catering category for the seventh time, followed by
\nAntelope Park and Blue Swallow Lodges, while AAT marketing executive Wendy Bourne won
\nthe Most Outstanding Voluntary Service to Travel Agents award for the ninth time.<\/p>\n

AAT chief executive Ross Kennedy said: \u201cThe AZTA awards once again gave recognition to three
\nAAT properties, and it has been a real privilege to receive the Best Resort Hotel award for
\nVictoria Falls Safari Lodge for the 23rd consecutive year.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a hugely rewarding accolade for the entire team, but especially for the operations team
\nled by Andy Conn and Anald Musonza, who together deliver the experiences, hospitality and
\nquality of service, that no doubt influences AZTA members in their votes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are immensely proud of these achievements and recognition,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Other award winners included Meikles Hotel for Best City Hotel, while Wild Geese Lodge won
\nBest Bed & Breakfast\/Guesthouse. The award for Best Safari Camp – Tented went to The Hide in
\nHwange and Best Safari Camp \u2013 Non-Tented was won by Amalinda Lodge in the Matobo Hills.<\/p>\n

AAT operates a portfolio of properties in Victoria Falls, which include Victoria Falls Safari Lodge,
\nas well as Victoria Falls Safari Club, Victoria Falls Safari Suites, Lokuthula Lodges and The Boma
\n\u2013 Dinner & Drum Show.<\/p>\n
